Skiatook’s Ryleigh Harper FFA Spotlight Presented by Green Country Business Solutions

Ryleigh Harper
Skiatook High School
Ryleigh Harper is a sophomore at Skiatook High School where she is a varsity softball
player and a member of the FFA chapter at school.

Harper got involved in FFA thanks to the encouragement of a family member.
“I first got involved in 2021. It was my dad who encouraged me to join,” said Harper.
Harper shows livestock as an FFA member, but it’s not the only thing she loves about being
a member of the chapter.

“I show Dexters and Maintainers. I’m trying for a spot in the vet science. I enjoy making
new friends and meeting new people,” said Harper.

The sophomore said anyone interested in becoming a member of an FFA chapter should
give it a try.
“Do it. You learn lots of new things and meet new people and make new friends,” said
Harper.

FFA is not the only activity Harper is involved in at Skiatook High School. She plays softball
and plans on trying out for the golf team this year.

Harper said her father has been a big influence in her life and she plans on attending
college after high school.

“My dad has always taught me how to do things the right way. He taught me how to be a
man even though I’m his daughter,” said Ryleigh. “I plan to go to college after I graduate to
become a veterinarian.”
