Skiatook senior Jessica Lee has found success in both cheerleading and soccer. Lee, who has been cheering for 13 years and got her start when falling in love with tumbling, has been a member of Skiatook’s back-to-back State Game-Day appearances. “My favorite memory cheering would be my junior and senior year making it to game-day state,” Lee said. “I have made the most improvements on my tumbling. Over the span of 13 years I have worked many hours to get where I am.”
Her coaches in both cheering and soccer have been her biggest influencers. “My biggest inspiration would be my coaches, whether it’s soccer or cheer. Both of my coaches have been there with open arms for anything, as well as helping me grow into the person I am,” said Lee, who will continue her athletic career on the soccer field at Hesston College in Kansas.
Lee’s immediate goal is to make the most of her final year in high school. “My goals this year are to complete high school, pass my boards for pharmacy, and make the most out of my last year in high school,” she said. “My plan after high school is to go to college, play soccer, and continue studying pharmaceuticals.”
