Skiatook Bulldogs 2023 Football Team Preview – Presented by Steve Moyer- Shelter Insurance

SKIATOOK BULLDOGS

Coach: VANCE MILLER

2-8

OFFENSE

Skiatook returns five starters from last season on the offensive side of the ball under head coach and offensive coordinator Vance Miller, who will be in his 16th year as head coach for the Bulldogs and who will operate from a balanced spread. The Bulldogs return senior running back Jackobie Jackson and senior wide receiver Chris Eustice at the skill positions. Jackson rushed for 131 yards on 39 carries and had one touchdown in 2022, and Eustice had 10 receptions for 36 yards. Both Jackson and Eustice will be relied on defensively as defensive backs as well. Other returning starters include offensive linemen Aiden Gould, Blayden Nichols and Sean McGuire. “We are excited about Skiatook football this year,” Miller said.

DEFENSE

The Bulldogs will use a 3-3 alignment defensively under defensive coordinator Luke Brummett and return four starters from a season ago. Adrian Havens will lead the defensive line, Noah Harper returns at linebacker, and Eustice and Jackson will lead the secondary. Havens collected 28 total tackles, one tackle for a loss, had one fumble recovery and a caused fumble, and one sack across seven games last year. Harper finished with 47 total tackles, including one for a loss. Eustice tallied 11 tackles, and Jackson had 13 tackles to go along with an interception and a fumble recovery.
